Scope by publisher country or a fixed outlet set, and collapse to stories. An unscoped query returns a very large volume of near-identical wire coverage plus commentary, and the ratio of original reporting to pickup is lower here than almost anywhere else.

What catches people out

Corroboration requires distinct originating outlets, not distinct domains, and establishing that from the response takes deliberate work. Treat the outlet list as a starting point rather than an answer. Coverage volume also responds to journalist access as much as to events, so a quiet period may reflect that reporting became impossible rather than that less happened.
